-
Registrations have until 30 days prior to the reservation to cancel and keep the deposit. Reservations cancelled within 30 days forfeit any deposit paid.
-
Only people planning to attend the foraging education and field sessions are required to add a registration when checking out. For example, a group of four may reserve a cabin with only two people planning to attend the foraging sessions.
-
Come ready to learn! The Four Season Foraging workshop model focuses on establishing new foragers and inspiring experienced ones, as well as creating a space where people can learn to interact with urban and rural wild places in meaningful and sustainable ways.
Since it is not possible to learn everything there is to know about foraging in a single workshop, Four Season Foraging classes are meant to lay the foundation, spark curiosity, and provide you with trustworthy resources to develop your foraging practice.
Some classes have a particular focus, but expect to discuss identification, harvesting, and preparation of wild edibles, as well as general foraging principles such as sustainability and legality. There are many, many wild edibles on the landscape and there is always a lot to talk about!

Early June weather on the Upper Gunflint Trail is always a surprise. Conditions can range from sunny 70s to rainy 50s. small blackflies (sometimes also called “no-see-ums”) and mosquitos may be out.
Dress for changing weather, with base layers, rain gear, and boots ready for the muddy back-woods. Bring your choice of bug repellent - weather a spray, Thermacell, head net, or other.
