Border route & north country trail
The north country trail spans 4,800 miles across eight states, making it the longest National Scenic Trail in America!
A sub-section of that, the border route trail (BRT), stretches 65 miles across the arrowhead of minnesota, connecting the superior hiking and kekekabek trails.
the brt footpath runs along the south and west sides of gunflint lake, making it easy for borderland guests to hike out right from your cabin door.
the Upper Gunflint Nordic Ski trails are 70km+ of trails that are also wonderful summer–and especially–fall hiking. these trails overlap with some of the brt trails.
